The move enhances Utimaco\u2019s PaymentHSMaaS capabilities by providing direct access to Platform Equinix\u00ae \u2013 where leading businesses bring together and interconnect their digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Utimaco will offer Atalla PaymentHSMaaS, one of its premier services offerings, via Platform Equinix. This solution enables customers to move payment keys and hardware security module (HSM) workloads from on-premises to the public\/private\/hybrid cloud, lowering their total cost of ownership (TCO) and reducing their PCI compliance scope. Customers also benefit from a direct connection to their applications residing inside Equinix or with any of the 2,900 cloud service providers (CSPs) on the industry-leading software-defined networking service Equinix Cloud Exchange Fabric\u00ae.<\/p>\n

HSMs are a crucial element in cryptographically securing payment transactions originating from either Cardholder Present or Cardholder Not Present environments and are a mandated component in card issuance and payment processing ecosystems. The collaboration between Utimaco and Equinix allows organizations to consume HSMs in a more effective and flexible way, enabling them to connect their payment applications to a PaymentHSM in the cloud.<\/p>\n
