Aachen, Germany, and Campbell (CA), USA, August 6, 2020 <\/strong>\u2013 Utimaco, a leading global provider of IT security solutions, has announced the integration of Utimaco\u2019s hardware security modules into GEOBRIDGE\u2019s key management solution KeyBRIDGE<\/a>. KeyBRIDGE 4100 is the first joint product following Utimaco\u2019s acquisition of GEOBRIDGE Corporation<\/a> at the end of March 2020. The new solution now features a hardware security module (HSM<\/a>) from Utimaco that is certified according to PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) v3 and FIPS. Other advantages include reduced operating costs by combining both devices in a slim housing with higher performance leveraged by the built-in Hardware Asymmetric Accelerator. Furthermore, RESTful API enhancements, new tokenization formats and additional support for new POI terminals have been extended on the entire KeyBRIDGE platform.<\/p>

Many new digital services and processes, whether in the area of payment, IoT applications or connected vehicles, use cryptographic keys to establish an unique identity and for the use of secure traceable transactions. The cryptographic keys are increasingly being replaced at short intervals and old keys are retired to prevent manipulation. In light of this development, companies from various industries now have to deal with the generation and management of cryptographic keys in a completely new way. Companies have to adapt their systems to manage a large number of keys in a short time or to support new devices that require the use of cryptographic keys. The immense volumes of keys required in the IoT sector call for solutions such as KeyBRIDGE 4100 which can cope with the management of over one billion keys.
